About the House

This fabulously architect designed and carefully furnished house will fit the modern self-catering guest who wants to have a beach break with all the modern facilities.

It is a far cry from the old cottage which had its charms but it was time for a new generation to take hold. The views are spectacular and do Pringle Bay all the justice it deserves. The house sleeps 10 comfortably and a lounge upstairs and downstairs allows everyone to spread their wings.

In windy conditions the patio doors can be closed but still allow guests to watch the bay. A big lawn leads into a private path to the little beach below where at low tide one can wet ones toes. Come and allow yourself to be spoiled. O’ Shaugnessy Cottage awaits you! A new addition is the indoor braai which is a hit!

UPSTAIRS
Sleeps up to 6 people

Large lounge area overlooking the bay with sliding windows, TV lounge (including DSTV) and ceiling hung cane pods chairs

Bedroom 4: Main Queen bedroom with shared bath, shower, toilet and vanity.
Bedroom 5: Twin room with shared shower, toilet and basin

Fully fitted kitchen with gas hobs and electric oven. Scullery with dishwasher, washing machine and drier.
Large sliding doors opening onto stoep which can be closed with an indoor braai. Guest toilet and basin off hallway.
Open plan living area with comfortable lounge area with fireplace and dining area with large table seating 10 people.

Covered patio is protected on windy days and has a 12 seater dining table and separate seating at the one end.
Two loungers are on the large deck off the covered patio as well as cushions for the wall seat.

EXTRAS
WiFi available with a ULAN battery to power the WiFi tower for up to 4 hours during load shedding

Indoor braai on enclosed stoep.
Duvet inners, mattress protectors, pillows and pillow protectors are provided.
Beach towels are not provided please bring your own.
TV (FULL DSTV included)
An Inverter battery powers your TV and decoder as well as 1 lamp during load shedding for up to 4 hours.

The Location

Pringle Bay, Western Cape, South Africa
Baytown takes a minimum of a 2 nights stay and a minimum of a 3 nights stay during long weekends. During December and January we take a minimum of 10 nights stay. In Season rates are for December and January as well as all long weekends and school holidays. Out of Season rates apply during all other times. A breakage deposit of 20% or R 1 000 (which-ever is the greater) is payable in addition to the total rental to secure the booking. Any accommodation booked that sleeps 8 adults or more are subject to a 50% breakage deposit. Electricity to the amount of R150 is provided. If more is required top up is available at the local superette which is payable by the holiday maker.
Arrival times are between 2.00 pm and 5.00 pm, but please advise us if your arrival will be after 5.00pm. Departure time is 9:30 am, financial penalties apply for late departure unless prior arrangement has been made and extra payment received.
