About the House

Uniquely designed with great care and thought by the owners – with all the comforts of a holiday home by the sea – The Bay Cottage awaits you.

Located within minutes from the main beach, you can sit on the stoep and listen to the noise of the breaking waves while admiring the beauty of the surrounding mountains. The elevated roof gives a great feeling of spaciousness and ceiling fans provide a cool breeze on a summer’s day. The house is ideal for a couple with teenagers or 2 couples. WiFi is available, please ask management for password, An invertor carries the television during loadshedding as well as a ULAN battery for the WiFi. There are also battery lamps and a gas stove.

A fully fitted kitchen with gas hobs and electric oven, dishwasher and washing machine compliments the built-in diner and small lounge. Glass doors open onto the front stoep from the lounge area

The Location

Baytown takes a minimum of a 2 nights stay and a minimum of a 3 nights stay during long weekends. During December and January we take a minimum of 10 nights stay. In Season rates are for December and January as well as all long weekends and school holidays. Out of Season rates apply during all other times. A breakage deposit of 20% or R 1 000 (which-ever is the greater) is payable in addition to the total rental to secure the booking. Any accommodation booked that sleeps 8 adults or more are subject to a 50% breakage deposit. Electricity to the amount of R150 is provided. If more is required top up is available at the local superette which is payable by the holiday maker.
Arrival times are between 2.00 pm and 5.00 pm, but please advise us if your arrival will be after 5.00pm. Departure time is 9:30 am, financial penalties apply for late departure unless prior arrangement has been made and extra payment received.
